OK. so we all see those hideous shirts or the ugly man sweaters or disgusting pants...whether its at a regular store or a donation/second hand store.
Some of us take the liberty of buying these items and re-beautifying them.
Take this for example:
A fashionista walks into a second-hand clothing store...she doesn't quite enjoy the smell or the overall appearance of the store but she browses anyway...
She discovers a retro-vintage shirt...it needs a good wash and maybe some love but it will still work...it shows promise to be beautiful! And if it doesn't work out then it was less then $10 wasted.
After a good wash, and a quick tailor job, brought it to a runway look...
There are different ways to tailor and re-do clothing, and they're easy.
1. Quick cut: just a simple cut in the desired spot [ ex. a jumper cut at waist ]
2. tailor job: a cut and some sewing [ ex. a dress cut at the desired spot and sewing at the edges to even things out ]
3. Crop: cutting a shirt at the desired spot [ ex. take an old shirt and cut it in the middle or 3/4 down ]
4. Cut and tie; cut upwards from the bottom 6 inches on any shirt the tie the separated ends together in a knot
Then theres the simple ones where you take a couple inches off your sleeves or pant legs
Do good deed this month and give an old clothing item a chance:)
